- IEEE MGA Outstanding Branch Counselor Award for the year 2008.
- Mentor Award from Government of Tamilnadu, Secretariate for the Disabled for contribution in developing the screener software for the early detection of Autism in Children.
- IEEE MGA Achievement award for the year 2008, for dedicated mentoring of IEEE students and encouraging them to focus their efforts towards contributions to benefit humanity.
- Life Time Achievement Award for the year 2009 from Lions Club International for the career guidance program with an outreach of 25,000 school children.
- Community Excellence Award from Saliyar Mahajan Sangh in 2010 for the achievements in education, career and volunteering.
- Anita Borg Change Agent Award 2012 from Anita Borg Institute of Technology for Women in 2012 - proffered to three women in the world who have effected positive change in their community .
- IEEE MGA Leadership Award 2012 for the leadership shown as Chair of Women in Engineering Committee.
- Systers Spring Pass it on Award 2014 proffered by Anita Borg Institute of Technology, California and utilised the funding for initiating the Returning Mothers Workshop.
- Inspiring Member of the Year Award proffered by IEEE Women in Engineering, USA in 2016 for the contributions to women empowerment.
- IEEE Computer Society Golden Core Member Award 2020 for contributions to the Computer Society Diversity and Inclusion initiative and other operations.
Honours and Recognitions:
- Received a grant of Rs.15 Lakhs (approximately 21,000 USD) and established a Centre of Excellence in Embedded Systems at Karpaga Vinayaka College of Engineering and Technology by receiving AICTE grant of Rs.15 Lakhs in 2010.
- Invited by Google Special Needs Support Group and delivered a talk for the members of Google on Assistive Technology in Mountainview, California in 2013.
- Delivered invited talks in more than 15 universities all over the world on various projects on Assistive Technology.
- Established two Industry collaborative labs in KCT - IoT based Assistive Technology Lab in collaboration with Intel and Gaming and Animation Lab in collaboration with Yellow Tree Academy.
- Received a grant of approximately 19,000 USD from IEEE Foundation for introducing technology based farming to the farmers of select districts of Tamilnadu in 2017.
